Library
Adding media to the MainStreaming Media Manager is as simple as a few clicks.
Once logged in, click on the Library button on the left-hand navigation menu.
Once within the Media Manager Library, look for the button towards the upper right section of screen.
The Media Manager uploader will expand from the lower right corner. You can also click UPLOAD in the lower right corner
Tip: You can access the upload panel at any moment during your workflow, moreover your working routine on the Media Manager won’t interrupt the uploading process.
You can drag videos directly into the window or click the “SELECT FILE” button to browse your PC.
Once you have dragged or selected the file you want to upload, press the “UPLOAD” button to start the file transfer. File transfer times will vary depending on the quality, resolution, file size, and your connection speed.
The uploader will indicate when your video has been successfully uploaded. You may close the Media Manager uploader when the transfer is complete or add additional video files.
Your recently uploaded video, will immediately enter our encoding queue. Within your library, your newly uploaded video will show one of these statues.
When the video shows a status, you’re ready to publish your video. OnDemand video files are displayed in the Media Manager Library, indicated by MainStreaming an
icon.
Tip: If at any time you need to return to the Media Manager Dashboard, click the MainStreaming logo in the upper left corner.

By default, the live stream module is configured to create a continuous live stream. If you create a stream with a designated start and end date/time, uncheck the checkbox, making sure to add an end date.
Before you can create a live stream, you must enter a title and short description. Once your stream information is entered, click the Like OnDemand video files, live streams are displayed in the Media Manager Library, indicated by
an icon.
Tip: If at any time you need to return to the Media Manager Dashboard, click the MainStreaming logo in the upper left corner.
Once within the Media Manager Library, look for the button towards the upper right section of screen. The Create Playlist window will open

Enter your playlist name and then select whether you want to create a one shot or loop playlist. Once you’ve made your select, click the button
Playlist Types:
- A one-shot playlist starts whenever a viewer presses play. Each viewer starts the playlist in the order you designate and plays to the end, unless they choose to stop at any point.
- A loop playlist acts like a live TV channel. Media Manager plays and loops the playlist. Each viewer joins the playlist, already in progress. At the end of the playlist, the system will start at the beginning.
Once the playlist is created, enter a short and long description. You can also enter video tags to ease searching for videos and playlists as your library grows. You can save your changes at this time or add videos to your playlist. More information about adding videos to a playlist can be found in the Playlist Detail section.

Once within the Media Manager Library, look for the
button towards the upper right section of screen. The window will open. Enter a folder name and click Create Folder.
The folder will appear within your library, indicated by the
icon. Items can be moved into folders by using the move
button on the right.

As your library grows, here are some quick tips to keep content organized. Items within your library can be easily identified by their icon.
For ease of use, you can filter your library by live stream, on demand, or playlists. You can also search within your library and change the number of results shown per page.

The Media Manager search field is useful for searching your media’s meta data. Title, Short Description, Long Description, and video tags, are all searchable fields.

Additional details can be found about each item by either clicking on the icon, the name, or the item status. Each item in your library also has a designated “status” as well as shortcuts to commonly used options.

Publish Toggle – Do you have a video or stream embeded on many sites and need to remove it immediately? Any item can be published or unpublished with this toggle switch. |
Important: | The Publish Toggle allows you to immediately unpublish a content from the entire MainStreaming network, regardless where it has been embedded or connected. This is very handy when a content is outdated for example. |
