Creating a Player Skin

Click on the list on the left-hand side to access the player tab Here you will be able to click to start the process of creating your own player skin where a box will pop up prompting you to add a title and to click Note: You can also visualize an example of the player by clicking on “MS Official” Now that you’ve created your skin to be modified, it will automatically open up on your screen and you will see the example player that allows you to see what changes you’re applying by modifying the features in the buttons, progress bar, options and logo boxes (see screenshot below) To get started, upload a logo, and to do this you will need to click in the box and it will prompt you to upload a logo from your computer Note: (You can only have 1 logo on a player at a time) Once uploaded you will have 4 placements of where you can apply the logo (see screenshot below) After choosing the location for the logo, click on the top right of the screen and you will be able to preview it in the video player in the center Now, change the color of your buttons by modifying the options in the Buttons box (See Screenshot Below)
  • Primary Color – The buttons, time and title will all show up in this color, throughout your video stream
  • Active Color – When your mouse hovers over the play, sound or full screen buttons, this color will
  • Background Color – Background box on the bottom of the player with the buttons and progress bar
  • Opacity – This determines how visible the buttons and background are on your player
To edit the primary color, active color and background color, start by
  • Clicking the colored boxes and either drag the circle across the color grid
  • Inputting the color code in the text section (See screenshot below)
To visualize all changes made to the buttons, you can see them in the preview player on the screen and to apply the modifications, you must click on the top right of the screen after you’ve made your choice Now, edit the color of the progress bar so the colors are clear for when it is empty and when it is playing (See Screenshot Below)
  • While the video is continuing, this empty color will show up in the part of the progress bar that hasn’t been played yet
  • While the video is playing you will see your set play color filling up the progress bar
To visualize all changes made to the progress bar, you can see them in the preview player on the screen and to apply the modifications, you must click on the top right of the screen after you’ve made your choice Next, choose form the additional items in the options box (See Screenshot Below)
  • Show Title Bar in top bar The title of your video will be seen in the top left of the video player if this is selected, if unchecked this will be hidden
  • Hide Player Controls This will hide the progress bar on your player and allow you to keep users from advancing the video without watching it first
  • Allow replay at the end of your video Give your audience the ability to replay your video when its finished
  • Show Play button in center This will make it clear to audiences that the play button can be engaged with here to start the stream
To visualize all changes made from the options you’ve selected, you can see them in the preview player on the screen and to apply the options, you must click on the top right of the screen after you’ve made your choice Congratulations, you’ve created a player skin. Before leaving the page, click one more time to make sure that all of the modifications you’ve made are applied to the skin you’ve created.
