CDN

The CDN analytics page gives insight into how many HTTP requests are being handled by the Origin, thecSmart Origin and Edge for your content and how much traffic is being used to deliver it. Here you will find two tabs relative to CDN metrics: General and Bandwidth. You can refine your graph limiting the data shown utilizing few filters, selecting:

  • Content ID: ContentID or content title. After typing the third letter you will be presented with a list of suggested finds
  • Hostname: the hostnames involved
  • Delivery Format: Dash, HLS, Images and more
  • Country: specific countries
  • ISP: specific Internet Service Provider
  • IP Version: IPv4 or IPv6
  • Delivery Option: Standard Secure Traffic or Non Secure

On the page top right, you can find a calendar where you can decide what time frame to include in your graphs by choosing specific dates and time or Last Hour, Last 4 hours, Last 24 Hours, Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last Thirty Days and This Month. Also, you can decide what kind of aggregation to visualize, like: 5 min, Hourly, Daily and Monthly.

General

Hits

This graph shows you how many HTTP requests where handled for your content and if they are hitting the Edge, Smart Origin & Origin

  • Origin Hits: HTTP requests routed to the Origin Server
  • Smart Origin Hits: HTTP requests between Edge Servers
  • Edge Hits: HTTP requests handled by Edge Servers

The legend on the right side gives you an itemized list of the different of the different type of contents. As you can see in the above image, the bars have the same color of the corresponding type on the legend. If you pass your mouse pointer over a bar, a tooltip will show up with some specific data relative to that very piece of graph.

Traffic

This graph shows you how much volume has been used to deliver content by the Edge, Smart Origin and Origin servers.

  • Origin Volume: Amount of data requested from the Origin Server
  • Smart Origin Volume: Amount of data traveled between Edge Servers
  • Edge Volume: Amount of data handled by Edge Server

The legend on the right side gives you an itemized list of the different of the various type of contents with the total at the bottom. As you can see in the above image, the bars have the same color of the corresponding type on the legend. Bandwidth

Bandwidth gives you insight into how content is being delivered and how much data traveled.

Throughput

This graph shows you the throughput per second for your content to be delivered from the Edge, Smart Origin and Origin servers.

  • Origin Volume: Data traffic per second from the Origin Server
  • Smart Origin Volume: Data traffic per second between Edge Servers
  • Edge Volume: Data traffic per second handled by Edge Server

Volume by Content ID

This list shows the volume of each content delivered through the Edge, Origin and Smart Origin servers. Clicking on the columns title you can sort, ascending or descending, for Content ID, Title, Edge, Origin and Smart Origin. You are able to scroll vertically through the results as well.
